Is Your Text Giving You The Yips?
What you don't want to do is either a) publish a book full of mistakes, as you will be setting yourself up for poor reviews with complaints about same, or b) of equal import, finding all those errors after we design and typeset your print/paperbacks, or format your eBooks, and then you'll pay us for hundreds, or worse, thousands of errors, (yes, this really happens! So far, our customer record is 3200 edits!) which isn't a low-price undertaking. (I mean, just think how long it would take you to make 3200 edits! Sure, we're faster, but it still is time-consuming!)
Don't fret. We can offer proofreading and line-editing services, in-house. If you need "more," we can refer you to substantial or developmental editors, or independent contractors, who will be delighted to work on your manuscript. Just ask us! Our line-editing and proofing is very affordable, compared to most, and performed by degreed, experienced editors and proofers. Not people who've just slapped up some quick blogsite, claiming to have skills, training and experience that they don't have.
Stop the pain--come check with us to see how easily this can all be done for you. Don't publish when not ready, and not proofed, at the very least. Let us help you.

About Proofing and Editing

What's an edit, anyway? Does that mean you're not really the author of your own book? Of course not! In its most basic, fundamental form, an eBook is really nothing more than a second set of eyes, helping you keep your novel or book on-track, ensuring that you've been consistent in both tone and language, in your progression through the text. It doesn't mean anything negative--if it did, woe betide Stephen King, who is notorious for the editing that his manuscripts require!
Every trade-published book out there and innumerable Indy-pubbed books, have been independently or third-party edited or at the very least, proofread. Even if your proofreader is your Cousin Gale, the college English Lit Professor, done on her lunch hours, it's been proofread. That counts, too. And if you use a program, like PerfectIt 5! or one of the other options out there (Grammarly, PerfectIt 5, ProWritingAid, even "only" Hemingway), at least you've done some of the heavy lifting on your book. Some is better than none!
As we've stated on our other Services pages: let's be clear--we are not your publisher. We are providing you, the publisher, with the tools and materials the completed, ready-for-upload files, that you need to publish at KDP, Ingram, etc. You'll own the files entirely. They're not ours. We aren't paid by you out of your royalties or "the back end." We don't hold your files hostage. You are the publisher--we work for you. Unlike many companies online that charge 3-5x what we do, just for formatting, proofing, and uploading your files, we're not taking significant fees from you for what are--let's not beat around the bush--pretty simple services (by which I mean, uploading, which takes someone who is experienced about 5 minutes!).
The best reason for having your manuscript proofread or edited is to ensure the highest quality of writing and accuracy. This will ensure that your work is free from errors and meets the standards of your intended audience. Professional proofreading and editing services can help you identify and fix any errors or inconsistencies that may have been overlooked, as well as make sure that the writing style is consistent and clear. Additionally, having a professional editor can also provide valuable feedback and suggestions to help you refine and improve your work.
